House Manners Classes are designed to be taken in progression for best results.  Skills are built upon in each session starting with basics and working up to more complex behavior chains.  Our goal is to develop skills that everyone needs in day to day life with their dog while we strengthen your bond as companions.  We have incorporated the skill sets needed for the APDT C.L.A.S.S. Evaluations and AKC Canine Good Citizen Test in our curriculum.  All classes include problem solving, confidence building exercises, and weekly homework sheets.

Beginner House Manners:  The starting point for pups/dogs 5 mths of age or older.  Skills taught include:  Recalls (Come), Leash Walking, Door Etiquette, Sit/Down/Stand, Impulse control, Polite Greetings, Stay/Settle, Give/Take, Go to your Place  Students will be prepared for the C.L.A.S.S. BA evaluation upon completion of course.  Class runs 6 weeks for 1 hour per week        REGISTER

Intermediate House Manners/CGC Prep:  This course builds on the foundation behaviors taught in Beginner House Manners and  will include preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test and C.L.A,S.S. Master Evaluation.  Skills include:  Recalls with distraction, Car Etiquette, Door Etiquette with distraction, Leash Walking, Impulse Control, Walking by other dogs, Stays & targeting.  Students may be prepared for the Canine Good Citizen Test or C.L.A.S.S. Master Evaluation at the end of this session.  Class runs for 6 weeks for 1 hour per week    REGISTER

Advanced House Manners/Therapy Dog Prep:  A continuation of Intermediate Manners, this course focuses on reliability of behaviors with increased distraction and variable reinforcement.  The skills covered will include:  Off Lead walking, Backing up, stays in real life situations, polite visiting, Cue Tests-Does your dog really know Sit?, Impulse Control in real life, targeting as an option to greet.  Students may be prepared for the C.L.A.S.S. PhD Evaluation.  Class runs 6 weeks for 1 hour per week REGISTER
